NeuropAWAY
PIVOTING IN 2020
NeuropAWAY was referred to us two days before the world shut down due to COVID-19 in 2020. Yes, in March of 2020, the agency helping NeuropAWAY reached out to see if we could produce a video they needed ASAP to pitch to Walmart.
My team and I got busy reviewing the Dropbox of static infographics to see what we could make three-dimensional. In 3 days, we created the following ad using stock clips and a couple of infographics to launch the product into 49 Walmarts.
*The audio was recorded at the owner's home.
A YEAR LATER
In late 2021, NeuropAWAY reached out to share the company's increase and growth, and the partnership with Walmart was growing. They asked if we could produce, direct, scout, and cast actors and voice-overs to create a national TV ad to support the product's entry into 400 Walmart stores.
Once the COVID-19 vaccine was in play and the FDA had approved the script, we filmed the national TV commercial in early 2022. In three weeks, the video was ready to air in 49 states on six national channels.
Since this production, we have made videos for CVS, Kroger, Walgreens, and many more to support the retail doors.
*The video on Facebook has over 8.2 million views and over 10,000 shares.
They are continuing to grow their retail presence monthly using our video strategy.

BAYER
Director & Producer
BAYER navigated the pandemic by launching the new Radiology Technology through an online Zoom symposium to 600K Doctors around the globe. As the director, we needed to direct the story of Maima Karmo to Segway into an informative video introducing the new technology in helping fight cancer.
Sourcing a film crew in Virginia, Zoom calls with the BAYER marketing team and talent to review the flow of what we would need to film in the 90 minutes we had on-site.
We had to start filming by 7 AM and be wrapped up by 8:30 AM, so we had to move fast. I creatively directed through Zoom, being in the room watching from the camera's angle. The event took place in 2 weeks, so once we finished filming, we had to move quickly into postproduction to get this approved and ready.
BAYER was skeptical of using ZOOM to direct, as I was in California and had talent in Virginia at the heights of the COVID Omni variant. Hence, we had to make this work and PIVOT as quickly as possible.
Once BAYER reviewed the video, Victoria, the head of marketing, sent an email the day we filmed to the UK marketing team expressing her satisfaction with the organization and flow and pointing out that you could direct a video using Zoom. When BAYER watched the final piece, they were impressed with all the things we had to navigate in the middle of January 2021, and in less than ten days, we pulled it off.
The video supports the fight against cancer, and the medical field has been inspired to stand with their patience because Maima Karmo shared her story.
